I love AJ and Apple bloom and the way you did the face is wonderful!
and you did a good job on the background as well!
Since your working on background I will say this, The grass and tree bark are very well done, I also like the apples what I do think you can improve on is making the ... leafs? the leafy part of the tree more defined I would kinda treat it like a character Give it line art and a few different patches of colors and maybe a few outlines of leafs drawn in.
Anyways I need to get on and Skype with you and kevin again its been forever! where have I been?
